You need to have a really clear picture of your interns. This includes their role, their responsibilities, and what the entire internship is going to look like. You’re not just hiring these kids for six months of filing and data entry, so you definitely need a game plan.
Being able to tell them straight up on day one what’s expected of them will help to speed the onboarding process up. They’re likely to come in with a rough idea of what they’re going to do at your company. But it’s your job to show them the blueprint and cement their understanding.
