Majlis Relationships and Wasta Networks
In Saudi Arabia, trusted introductions, family and professional networks can influence access and credibility. Business relationships often deepen through hospitality and repeated personal contact.
Senior Authority in a Rapidly Changing Workforce
Final decisions frequently sit with senior leaders, while Vision 2030 reforms are creating younger, more diverse and more performance focused teams. Managers should respect hierarchy while setting clear accountability.
Prayer, Ramadan and Gender Aware Planning
Prayer times, Ramadan and religious holidays shape schedules. Workplace interaction is evolving, but organisations should still understand sector specific expectations around gender, privacy and social etiquette.

沙特阿拉伯的薪酬发放
发薪周期
Salary is commonly paid between the 25th of the current month and the 5th of the following month through the Wage Protection System.
最低工资
There is no universal statutory minimum wage for all private sector workers. Wage thresholds may apply to Saudi nationals for workforce nationalisation and benefit purposes.
加班费
- Generally 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week. During Ramadan, Muslim employees generally work 6 hours per day or 36 hours per week. - Actual working time is subject to daily and weekly limits, with exceptions for specified industries.
- Overtime Pay per Hour = Hourly Wage + (Basic Hourly Wage × 0.50).
奖金
第 13 个月薪资
Saudi Arabia does not mandate a 13th month salary. Any Ramadan, Eid, or year end bonus is contractual or discretionary and is separate from the statutory end of service award.
Annual bonus = contractual or employer defined amount. End of service award is calculated separately under Saudi labour law.
Employees are eligible for a bonus only where the contract, policy, or binding practice provides it. End of service award eligibility follows statutory service and termination rules.
员工福利

|---|---|
| 法定 | |
| Public healthcare or mandatory medical coverage in Saudi Arabia | Employers must arrange Council of Health Insurance compliant medical insurance for non Saudi employees and eligible dependants. Saudi employees receive healthcare through the national system, while the policy category and network must meet CHI requirements. |
| Statutory termination or end of service entitlement in Saudi Arabia | End of service benefit is generally half a month’s wage for each of the first five years and one month’s wage for each following year. Entitlement can be reduced for resignation depending on service length, while full benefit applies in specified cases. |
| Work injury protection under General Organization for Social Insurance contributions and end-of-service benefit | In Saudi Arabia, occupational injury protection is tied to General Organization for Social Insurance contributions and end-of-service benefit. The employer must complete the applicable registration or insurance arrangement before exposure begins, report workplace accidents within the legal deadline, and fund the employer portion. Benefits generally cover treatment, temporary incapacity, permanent disability and survivor payments, but the responsible institution and assessable wage follow the local scheme. |
| General Organization for Social Insurance contributions and end-of-service benefit | The core employer obligation in Saudi Arabia is registration and payroll remittance under General Organization for Social Insurance contributions and end-of-service benefit. This is not a general allowance: it is the named statutory arrangement for the pension, retirement, unemployment, medical or related branches stated in the programme title. Coverage must be checked against establishment size, employee status, nationality and earnings limits, and contributions must be paid to the relevant authority by its filing deadline. |
| 可选 | |
| Housing, relocation and remote work support in Saudi Arabia | Housing and transport allowances are common in Saudi employment packages. Employers often provide an annual housing allowance or accommodation and should document whether the benefit is included in wage calculations for GOSI or end of service purposes. |
| Meal, commuting and business travel support in Saudi Arabia | Meal, commuting and business travel support in Saudi Arabia should be split between fixed cash allowances and reimbursements supported by receipts. That distinction determines whether the amount is taxable salary, exempt expense repayment or part of the contribution wage. The policy should state limits, eligible journeys and the treatment of remote work. |
| Performance or profit sharing bonus in Saudi Arabia | A performance or profit sharing bonus in Saudi Arabia is optional unless promised by contract, collective agreement or an established plan. The rules should specify the performance period, measurable targets, proration for joiners and leavers, and treatment during protected leave. Payroll must apply local income tax and social contribution rules to the payment. |
| Supplementary private medical insurance in Saudi Arabia | Private medical insurance in Saudi Arabia should be designed around the gaps left by General Organization for Social Insurance contributions and end-of-service benefit. Employers commonly add faster outpatient access, private hospital treatment, dental, optical, mental health and dependant cover. The policy remains optional unless a visa, emirate, collective agreement or sector rule makes insurance compulsory, and any taxable benefit treatment should be processed through payroll. |
